Ann Margaret had the whole world at her feet. In her 20’s she was a movie star, an accomplished singer, a captivaring dancer and of course a glamour icon.
She found her star in the 60s. A time in Hollywood where the wholesome classically beautiful stars of the 50s gave way to the more risque and seductive icons of the 60s. Her roles at the time were usually the bad girl type for that era. She was sexy and everybody knew it!
This drink celebrates this period of her life. The Cointreu is for the sweetness in her smile, the violette represents her feminine charms and invokes an image of her rose blonde hair in her role as Kim McAfee in Bye Bye Birdie. The rose water is for the bouquets of roses that would shower her after her theater performances and what better way to capture her timeless appeal than with Gin, a spirit that will last through the ages. The glass itself the Nick & Nora came into prominence in the 60s just like our favourite lady herself.
So there you have it. The Ann-Margret. A timeless classic drink with a seductive twist.
