Long-term commitment is what matters most to us!
Sustainability is a major focus within ESS Group and has become increasingly evident in our daily lives – globally, and especially here in the Nordics. Changes in the environment, nature, and climate are crucial, and we work hard to reduce our carbon footprint.
What we are most passionate about, however, is our CSR work. Here, we see that we can make a real difference, with high ambitions to change lives. Our driving force is to create inclusion and build synergies in society, helping to improve overall well-being in the world.
We bring this to life by creating hope and opportunities – offering all employees the chance to grow and develop. At ESS Group, we believe that integration is one of the most important issues for society and for fostering self-sufficiency within our organization.

Our goal is to deliver outstanding experiences while constantly working to minimize our footprint. This commitment is woven into decisions at every level of our organization and naturally integrated across all our destinations.
In all areas of our sustainability work, our ambition is to think long-term. We don’t pursue short-term projects or quick wins. we want to build initiatives we can be proud of and actions that stand the test of time. Step by step, we aim to become a little better every day.
Our Operations
We deliver world-class guest experiences with outstanding service and quality. Every day, we challenge ourselves to achieve this while minimizing our carbon footprint.
We do so through conscious choices, usch as supplier selection for laundry and heating, menu planning, purchasing decisions, and more. Our ambition is for certifications to serve not as a goal, but as a the minimum standard in our daily operations.
Our Employees
We want our employees to thrive with us and grow together with us. We strive to provide balance in life by ensuring the right conditions, clear expectations, well-defined job descriptions, clarity on where to find support, and a balanced scheduling structure.
We also offer well-established training programs and foster a strong, transparent culture that drives us forward.
Our Community
We believe in hope and oppurtunity. We use our voice to influence opinion and politics, as well as to care for our local communities in tangible ways. We strive to create the best workplace in the world where people feel good and pass that on to those around them. Our CSR initiatives are evident through educations and development oppurtunities for everyone. In 2022, we even launched our own external school within ESS Group. offering apprenticeship programs across the Nordics.

Our goal is to be long-term. We believe in implementing our initiatives step by step. Our vision is to become a little better all the time. The following projects are planned to be carried out during 2022 and 2023:

- In 2023, we are launching the project “Sustainable Employees,” where we explore how an employee can continue working in an industry that operates around the clock.
